Sheffield's resident music festival, Tramlines, looks set to take place this summer following massive uncertainty about whether the event, like many other festivals across the country, would even be able to occur. Tickets have been selling fast, as the city keenly looks forward to the festivities following multiple lockdowns and a cancellation of the event last year. The government's announcement of a roadmap to re-opening the country through cautious stages appears to have given the organisers hope that the beloved festival will make a spectacular return this year.

The upcoming lineup has been closely guarded, and hasn't been revealed yet, leaving eager fans in anticipation of the marquee event of a possibly 'normal' summer. The event was headlines by acts such as Two Door Cinema Club, Johnny Marr, Chic, and Nile Rodgers in 2019 while previous heavyweights include the likes of Reverend and the Makers, who tweeted their support of the efforts to bring the festival back to the people.

The festival is a staple of Sheffield's summer calendar, and has a capacity of up to 30,000 attendees. Tramlines has been bringing together artists, musicians, fans, and promoters alike for more than 11 years.
